Get Ready for 11-11-11

Logo: Transforming Culture By Being the Body of Christ

You are invited to participate in an online leadership training experience, the likes of which has never before been offered in the Church of God. On Friday, November 11 (11-11-11), beginning at 11:11 AM (EST), eleven nationally-recognized leaders in the Church of God will present eleven training sessions on eleven key topics for leaders. Each webcast will last eleven minutes at www.chog.org/11-11-11.

Sponsored by Church of God Ministries, the 11-11-11 training is an opportunity to equip ministers and lay leaders with tools and insights for effective ministry. It will be an opportunity to encourage leaders in your church to watch and learn together. Leaders will hear how to nurture their intimacy with God, strengthen their family, apply leadership principles, handle conflict, build trust among those they lead and with whom they work, understand the importance of accountability, intentionally seek to restore their souls while leading, pass the baton (mentoring), share God’s story (evangelism), live a life of integrity, and live in biblical stewardship.

101 Baptized at Church's Outdoor Service

"It was one of those days a pastor dreams of. I can't explain that away other than God did it," said Pastor Stuart Kruse of County Line Church of God in Auburn, Indiana.

The day was Sunday, August 28, when, at an outdoor service of about 1,400 people, 101 people were baptized.

The idea for last Sunday's outdoor service came to Kruse while mowing the grass at his home.

"I wish it was a better story," he said. But while listening to worship tunes on his iPod, Kruse looked to skies and the earth's beauty.

The Church of God has decisively responded with hundreds of thousands of dollars in relief donations and countless hours of manual labor. Your prayerful, financial, and on-the-ground support have provided healing and hope in the bleakest of circumstances.
